The Communicator
The Communicator is the person at the center of EnableText — the one using the iPad to send and receive texts.
A Communicator may have a hard time typing, reading a phone screen, or keeping up with a typical messaging app. EnableText gives them big tiles, familiar faces, and messages they can hear out loud.
When a Contact texts, the iPad speaks the message. AI generates contextually aware replies. The Communicator looks or taps to choose what to say back.
Home is where they start. Incoming texts from Contacts show on the left. From here they can send a text or open recent messages.
They can also start a conversation — pick a Contact, then send a text the other person receives like any other.
They can take a photo and have EnableText make a funny picture of them — or send a joke, or a funny GIF from Giphy. Communication should be useful. It should also be fun.
A Caretaker can help set things up. The Communicator stays in control of what gets said.
